One client summed up what we try to do when he wrote the following to us:
Our range of variable rate mortgage products are shown on the right, full details will provide you with additional information. Harpenden Building Society prides itself on offering a commonsense approach to mortgage lending. We are often able to provide a solution where the borrower's requirements are complicated or unusual. We prefer you to tell us all about your client's individual needs together with any relevant background information. You can either do this by email, completing our on-line Enquiry Form, letter, fax, telephone, or if you live locally by making an appointment at our Head Office in Harpenden. Many people choose to telephone us as they like to talk to the person who will be overseeing their application. Our Mortgage Department can be contacted on 01582 765411. We thrive on complicated situations; your enquiry will be assessed individually by our experienced team who will give you a quick decision and supply you with all the information you need. Remember - we do not use credit scoring, just straightforward commonsense. This individual approach means the Society can often lend to people that other lenders will not consider just because they do not meet their criteria - even though they may be very good at managing their finances and have carefully thought through their proposition. By telling us what you are looking for, we can provide a mortgage that is right for your client:
Offering you an excellent service is very important to us. We know that choosing the right lender can be quite stressful and that often there are tight deadlines. We try very hard to provide both a quick decision as well as a continuing prompt and efficient service. We like to think that we are approachable so if you have any queries about our mortgages, just ask us. Please remember that we will always try to "tailor make" a mortgage package just to suit your client's own personal requirements. You will need to be listed on the register of FSA Register of Mortgage Intermediaries. |
The Society is authorised and regulated by the
Financial Services Authority

May I take this opportunity to thank you and your colleagues for the expeditious way in which my application was handled. No fuss, no bother, a straightforward process and quickly handled".
