TESSA ISA

TESSA brochureThis account is for the capital and interest saved in a TESSA ISA. The Society will accept the transfer-in of matured TESSA ISA savings which existing members currently hold with other providers.

We do not make any charge for account transfers-in [or out] of the Society neither will the tax free status be affected in any way.

This account has a variable rate of interest which is paid annually on the 5th April each year.

You can choose to have the interest added to your account so that your savings grow faster, or if you prefer, the interest can be paid to another account with the Society or credited to your bank account.

You can withdraw all, or part, of your savings without any prior notice.

You do not need to provide details of your TESSA ISA when completing your Tax Return.

A passbook will give you a record of the payments made into the account as well as the interest earned. Remember to bring, or post, the passbook every time a transaction is carried out.

To open this account please complete the Transfer Authority form and return it to the Society at the following address, together with your passbook, if one has been issued by your current provider. We will then contact your current provider and arrange the transfer of funds on your behalf.

Our Freepost address is: FREEPOST, Harpenden Building Society, 14-16 Station Road, Harpenden, Herts. AL5 4BR

If you produced identification when opening your existing account with the Society you will not be required to provide further identification.
