Harpenden Building Society has appointed David Jervis as Interim Chief Executive. His appointment follows Carl Astley’s decision to step down from the role.
David Jervis (formerly Chief Executive, at the Holmesdale Building Society), has provided consultancy services to the Harpenden since December 2017. He’s keen to help the Society grow and assist with the preparation of a new strategic plan to engage members, mortgage intermediaries and the community.
David said: “This is a really exciting opportunity to work with a mutual organisation that is passionate about providing excellent customer service. Whilst we are moving towards an improved digital journey, our traditional approach to providing a good place for our members to save and having manual underwriters with a common sense approach to lending will remain a valuable resource.
The Society is in the process of recruiting a new permanent Chief Executive and I look forward to handing over to this person once the recruitment process has been completed”
